Spring 2019 Instructional League
"Brush up" on your basic skills!
The Instructional League is perfect for the new curler - a fantastic way to get those first few games of experience!
The Instructional League is, essentially, Learn to Curl 'extended.' We teach you the basics of the game, then get you into playing full games, under the guidance of our volunteer instructors! Each week, we teach you a little more about some of the finer points of the game - strategy, balance, mechanics, working as a team.
If you've already taken Learn to Curl, this is a perfect opportunity to get some more practice and training as you get ready to play in the summer.
The Instructional League will run at 8:10 PM, on Saturdays May 11, May 18, June 1, and June 8. If you can't make it to every game, let us know, and we'll find you a spare who wants to take your place for the night and get some extra practice (just like you'll be able to do throughout the year!).
To join the Instructional League, LICC membership is required, so here's how the pricing breaks down:
- STEP 1 - "Annual Membership." (If you are already a LICC member with current membership, you will NOT be charged this portion!)
Valid for one full year, you can join leagues (each league has its own fee), play as a "spare" at no additional charge during your entire year of membership, come to any practice sessions we have (some have a small fee), and take part in all club events! Normally, this is $150+tax per person, but for first-time curlers, it's $75+tax/person - 50% off!
Enter "0" for "Years Experience," and use the FULL MEMBER - NEW CURLER option.
For more about what it means to be a member of the Long Island Curling Club, visit our Membership Info page!
- STEP 2 - "League Fee" - the Instructional League is $125 for members.
- Your total (including the $75 membership) will be $200+tax.
